Your Resource to Everything Queer in Corvallis

New Student Group on Campus

Hello Friends and Family!

Today, I received an email from the Co-President of a new student group on campus!

The club is called the “Broad Spectrum Veterinary Student Association” and was newly recognized at the beginning of this school year.

Their mission statement: “The purpose of the Broad Spectrum Veterinary Student Association at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine is to provide community, connection, and social opportunities for veterinary students who identify anywhere on the spectrum of gender identity, sex, and sexual orientation. As our name implies, this group welcomes anyone, whether they identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, questioning, straight ally, or any description not covered here.”

All of their information will also be permanently placed on the “Campus Resources” page! Please feel free to contact them and to share information about this group!

To the members of BSVSA: Thank you for the work you are doing to create another safe-space for LGBTQ folks on campus!

Cheers,
Riz
